This piece pairs a fixed electronic track with live choir, played through the house sound system (stereo plus subwoofer). Synchronization is handled through the conductor: a click track is routed as a separate output from a DAW (Ableton, Logic, GarageBand, and similar all work fine) and delivered to the conductor via in-ear monitors or headphones. The choir simply follows the conductor as usual, while the conductor follows the click.

A companion MIDI file aligns the DAW's measure numbers exactly with the score, making it easy to rehearse or jump to specific sections.

The technical requirements are minimal: a laptop, a basic two-output audio interface, and headphones for the conductor. Full setup and routing instructions are included with the performance materials.

all becomes the infinite by is a four-movement work blending choral, electronics, and synthesizer elements, unified by the overarching theme of finding belonging through transformation. The first movement introduces a seed's struggle and growth, symbolic of the initial steps in discovering one's place. The second movement evokes the merging of a river with the sea, a metaphor for the strength and unity found in love and belonging. The third movement's text about a rising flame illustrates the journey of growth amidst love and pain, emphasizing resilience and the pursuit of wholeness. This movement also incorporates elements of South African traditional music and dance, including call-and-response and clapping. Finally, the fourth movement's transformation of metal in a molten core signifies the culmination of change and the shaping of a new identity. Together, the music and text weave a narrative of evolving identity and the universal quest for belonging within the vast interconnected continuum of life.
